“We make a good team, Avatar.” - Korrlok (requested by lariren-shadow)
They waited for a few minutes until a mechatank had passed, and a minute later, Tarrlok whispered: “Let’s go.”
They walked to the street and stood still for a little moment, eyeing the lights in the tall buildings and checking that the street was really deserted. Korra heard how Tarrlok sighed deeply, bracing himself, and she did the same.- excerpt from the upcoming chapter 9 of Madman. (The longest chapter yet, I need to revise it before I post it. The flow needs to be improved.)

I caught a bird
That looked just like you
She dashed her head on the windowsill
Are you gonna leave me too?
#i’m sorry are people shipping this in a non-creepy way? #i don’t know how to do that
I just adore this look that Korra gives Tarrlok after he has saved her from the equalists. A moment later she pulls her guard up again and she appears more feisty, determined and possibly even a little bit irritated because she has to agree with Tarrlok that they do make a good team.
Oh hell yeah! Canon moment!
so i was thinking about that last anon ask
and i was watching episode 8
and realized that in this part
Tarrlok says: “So sad to see your little team avatar broken up.”
DROP THE SARCASM TARRLOK YOU DON’T WANT HER TO DO JUSTICE WITH OTHERS YOU ARE JEALOUS SO ARRESTING FRIENDS SEEMS TO BE THE…
To think of what it was. To think of what it could have been.
Man, now I think I’m going to cry for my ship….~Eri

My FEELS. Tarrlok and Noatak’s Momma T.T
She’s important to Tarrlok, therefore should be important to Korra :D

Rays of sunshine tickled Tarrlok’s face as he slowly blinked his eyes awake, the blurred vision of his small, shared room becoming clearer in sight. A gentle breeze came from the open window where the Lieutenant stood with a cup of coffee in his hand, his gaze focused outside. “Morning.” He said in a monotone voice, not moving his head to look at Tarrlok.
Tarrlok scratched his head as he looked around. He was still a bit tired, but at least somewhat rested after finally having a night of sleep. “Goodmorning.” He stretched and rolled out of bed. “I take it I haven’t been much trouble?” Tarrlok couldn’t remember another dream with Amon in it, nor that he had been woken up by the man standing by the window. “You slept like a baby.” The other man dryly commented with a small smirk. Tarrlok grinned sheepishly, joining the man by his side. “You’re coming with me today. I’ll show you the ropes around here.” Tarrlok raised his brow, not really having thought about the fact that he had to work on the island. ‘About that… What exactly am I to do here? What are the hours?”
Lieutenant took a sip from his coffee and turned to him, “Mostly keep this place clean and be sure that everything that is shipped to and from here gets to their respective places.”
Tarrlok snorted. “That’s a simple task.”
“Oh really?” Lieu tilted his head to the side, a smile tugging at his lips, “Then how about you take care of Oogi for today?”
It took Tarrlok a minute to register what task he had just forced upon himself. When he did realize, he took a step back. “Woah, wait a minute… I’m still in recovery. If you expect me to take care of that animal the first day I’m here, you’re dead wrong.”
His roommate chuckled softly, putting his cup of coffee down. “We’ll do it together then. It’s a morning’s work, but after taking care of Oogi, we’re free to do whatever we’d like.”
He pointed at the chair in the corner of the room, “Master Tenzin brought these clothes here for you. Please change so we can start the day.”
He was surprised that it was not his smooth council suit that was lying on the chair, but his taskforce outfit.
With a small grunt Tarrlok complied to the Lieutenants task only so he could be done early today.

“You’re doing fine!” the Lieutenant yelled from a distance. “You only have to clean the dirt around his eyes and then we’re done!”
“Easy for you to say!” Tarrlok screamed back, slowly approaching the glaring sky bison. The giant beast had not been kind to him when he had cleaned out its sleeping quarters, so he wasn’t really enthusiastic about having to come near it once more.
“Easy Oogi, easy.” He mused, carefully taking a few more steps nearer. “I just want to clean your eyes.” He felt ridiculous having to plead to an animal, but for one so big and intimidating, he couldn’t help but just do that. He steered the water from the jug attached to his hip towards Oogi, but he growled lowly when the water came even close.
“Oh this is nonsense!” Tarrlok rolled his eyes and willed the water back inside the jug. Oogi sat still again, now eyeing at Tarrlok with a bit more interest. “You’re impossible, you know that?” Tarrlok sighed, getting closer to Oogi yet again.
And suddenly, the sky bison jumped forward and tackled Tarrlok, licking his face. “Oh! Oh spirits that’s disgusting!” Tarrlok squirmed himself from underneath Oogi, which now simply and happily allowed him to wash the dirt off of him.
“Great job!” The lieutenant yelled, giving him a thumbs up. “I’ll go report to Tenzin and then we’re done!”
Tarrlok rolled his eyes and gave Oogi an apple before walking off to find a place to wash off the thick layer of saliva that covered him.
This was very fun to write. Hope you enjoy.

You know what’s crazy? Tarrlok has the same voice actor as Oogie/all the animals (Dee Bradley Baker). I kid you not.
So Tarrlok is actually kissing himself right here. :P
